Head of Transport, Logistics and Warehousing

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven logistics expert to make a significant impact on our logistics functions and drive our long-term success. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods while providing the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Main duties include the below:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the transport, warehouse and logistics team, including planning, scheduling and coordinating shipments
- Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to optimise cost efficiency and service levels 
- Lead and mentor a team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development
- Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that transport staff provide services that meet evolving needs of customers while following relevant guidelines
- Lead the resolution of unexpected issues as they occur by ensuring appropriate solutions implemented and leveraging the experience to improve future planning

Required Skills and Experience:

- Previous proven experience in a Logistics and Transport Management role is essential
- Maintain high housekeeping standards
- Knowledge and use of ERP systems (Dynamics NAV) & Pallet Network Sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar field (bachelor’s degree preferred)
