Rob Sleightholm and Kyle Young's dedication to charity fundraising is truly inspiring. Last month, these compassionate Strongdor Production Operatives embarked on another remarkable run in support of a meaningful cause. As some may recall, in 2022, Rob accomplished an astounding 875-mile round trip during the peak of the pandemic to raise funds for Cancer Care Research Charity. Now, he was joined by his fellow colleague Kyle Young in their latest endeavour.
On Sunday, June 10th, 2023, Rob and Kyle traded their workshop boots for running trainers as they took on the challenging Lake District Ultra Challenge, covering an impressive distance of 50 kilometres. The purpose was to raise funds for PAPYRUS, a charity dedicated to reducing the number of young lives lost to suicide by offering confidential support and advice.
With an initial goal of raising £400 for PAPYRUS, Rob and Kyle's dedication and relentless efforts have far surpassed all expectations. Their commitment to the cause has led to an astonishing £1000 in donations, making a significant impact on the lives of young people who are in dire need of support.
As they celebrate the generosity of those who supported their cause, Rob and Kyle's actions remind us all of the positive change that can be brought about when individuals come together for a greater purpose. Their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others will undoubtedly continue to inspire many, encouraging more acts of kindness and charity in the future.
Strongdor is fortunate to have such exceptional individuals within their team, and we eagerly look forward to witnessing the positive impact they will continue to make in the future.
