What is your role at Strongdor?
"Having started as a Sales Estimator, I have now shifted back into the role of project specialist, working closely with Contractors and Quantity Surveyors, to assist in the quotation and final specification of large scale projects.
Prior to Strongdor I worked as a Quantity Surveyor and Commercial manager myself, so I am familiar with the pain points and challenges faced and hope to be able to use my experience to make life easier for contractors.
My role covers everything from the initial enquiry throughout the tender period until securing the project and confirming delivery schedules or call-offs. You’ll basically always find me with my head in a tender or highlighting schedules with a large mug of coffee in hand!"
How long have you worked at Strongdor?
"Just over a year, I started back in January 2021 after moving back to the UK after living in the channel islands for a year and a half."
What do you love about working for Strongdor?
"The positivity of the working environment, we all know Mondays can be hard after a great weekend but working for Strongdor makes it so much easier, to come in and be greeted by smiley faces and not forgetting the great lunches we have! Oh and Cake, lots of cake. It makes it hard to stay on track with the diet though!"
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
"I would love to learn more about Lambretta’s! I have a collection and love to get out on the open road to clear my mind , nothing beats it. However, I’m not much of an expert at fixing them, so would love to learn more so I can work on them myself!"
What's something most people don't know about you?
"I suppose my claim to fame has got to be, being featured in the Kaiser Chiefs - On the Run, music video. I was featured for a full 0.4 seconds dancing at a concert! Now I assume everyone will rush to try and spot me, so to make it easier for you all my cameo is featured 2 mins 5 seconds in!"
