Strongdor opened their doors to nine Designing Out Crime Officers (DOCOs), looking to understand more about the various products achievable with the bespoke steel door manufacturer. This event included the in-person debut of Strongdor’s brand new RIBA-approved CPD: presented by Paul Driscoll and Emily Ward. The CPD denoted the capabilities and stringent process of manufacturing and testing fire-rated doors and why this was essential to know due to Strongdor’s dual certification capabilities.
Following with some food, the day moved on with a buzz. Hosted by Jamie Rodgers, the DOCOs made a friendly competition by competing on our custom buzz wire and enjoyed a delightful spread catered by local company Campass & Co.
The afternoon then moved on to security, exploring the various standards available in our security doorsets and arguably the most important introduction of the new standard LPS 1673. New to the market, LPS 1673 carries some mystery about what the product can offer in terms of protection and security. During the presentation, Strongdor offered the officers a chance to explore the context of the standard, whilst seeing first-hand the strength these doors offer. Although starting off at the head office in Morecambe, the day then ended with a tour around the Innovation Centre with an opportunity to see some of the tested doors.
It was a day seemingly enjoyed by all and provided great insights for both parties. Interested to know more about our latest security offering? Find more information here: Bespoke Steel Security Doors
