During the month of October, the Strongdor team has engaged in various activities to support and raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness. Important to many, Breast Cancer Now has dedicated the month of October to raising awareness of the life-changing disease.
“There are an estimated 61,000 people in the UK who have been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. That’s why we fund research dedicated to giving those living with the disease, to give them more time to live their lives to the fullest.” Breast Cancer Now states.
To show our support, on October 20th, the Strongdor team participated in "Wear it Pink" day, by wearing their best pink attire, adding vibrant splashes of pink to the workplace. This wasn't just about wearing pink though; it was an opportunity for team members to contribute further by purchasing raffle tickets. These tickets held the promise of an exciting hamper filled with all things pink.
Alongside running the events within Strongdor, HR Director, Amy Burrow, celebrated her 50th birthday in a truly heart-warming way. Embarking on a 10-mile walk along Morecambe promenade with loved ones, colleagues and their beloved pets. The day turned out to be truly special as the autumn sun shone bright throughout.
All together the Strongdor team managed to raise an astonishing total of £629. This achievement is a testament to their collective effort and passion for making a difference, thank you all.
