Work Experience: My Time at Strongdor by Olivia

Olivia expressed to the team her uncertainty surrounding her future career path but showed a strong interest in content creation. Throughout the week, Olivia created engaging content featuring our head office team and wrote her own blog detailing her experiences at Strongdor.

"What's your dream job? You have most likely been asked that many times in your life. If you asked me a week ago, I would have said anything but an office job, but my answer has definitely changed. My whole life I have convinced myself that an office job can be nothing but miserable days full of sitting down in a gloomy office wishing you weren't there, not talking to anyone, just purely a place for people who wish to exist, not live.

That was until I came to Strongdor for my work experience.

Strongdor doesn't feel like any of the things I imagined, its full of life, friendship and family. When I first came to Strongdor at the start of this week, it was a whirlwind of emotions. Was I nervous? Yes. But I was also excited. Spending a week at Strongdor is an incredible experience and has taught me many things, as well as give me an insight into different options I have with what I can do with my future, and I'm very grateful to Strongdor for not only allowing me to come here for work experience but also welcoming me and teaching me everything there is to teach about subjects surrounding Strongdor.

This week I have learnt about doors, learnt about marketing and social media, learnt about how to edit photos with Al, and even more. I have been taught all these things in a week and still had fun, and that tells you a lot about Strongdor as not only a company but a place.

You may be wondering how I stumbled upon Strongdor in the first place, well my mother works here at Strongdor and has been coming home every day for the past 3 and a half years raving about her day at work and tells me about the new exciting endeavour she has got up to that day. To be completely honest I always thought she was exaggerating about some of these stories, but when I arrived, I started to realise how true the statement of 'every day's different at Strongdor' truly is.

Now, I'm going to leave you with this, next time you think about Strongdor, change your perspective from a business to something entirely different, a community of friends, family and acceptance. Strongdor is not just a job, Strongdor is a home."
