Strongdor Secured by Design door-sets are certified to comply with the standards set by the national Police initiative to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings, to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit.

These door-sets offer greater protection to bin stores, plant rooms and access to communal areas and can be used on both residential and commercial developments that require the peace of mind that comes with Secured by Design compliance.

Available with multiple upgrades including acoustic rating up to 39dB, U-value as low as 1.5Wm2K*, manual and electric locking. 

*U-value not available on louvred door-sets.

Leaf
44mm door leaf thickness, fitted with an integrated astragal for added security. Comprising of 2 x 1.2mm steel sheets, the leaf skins are mechanically interlocked and internally bonded providing greater stability and protection against de-lamination.
42mm thick ‘Hexatex’ core or upgrade to insulated core for up to 1.5 W/m²K.

Standards
Certified to: PAS 24:2016 Enhanced security performance requirement for door-sets and windows in the UK. Door-sets and windows intended to offer a level of security suitable for dwellings and other buildings exposed to comparable risk. BM Trada Certificate 050/250.

Types
Classified as single and double lead, over panel, fully glazed, hinged, internally glazed, inward opening, louvre, outward opening, side panel/vision panel, with or without letter plate.

Threshold
AM3 inward opening or AM5 outward opening threshold available on request.

Finish
Supplied inclusive of a powder coated finish in a standard colour. Full range of RAL and BS colours available.

Options and Upgrades

Unfortunately there is no simple answer to this question as all security rated door-sets have protection enhancement. The level of security required for your door-set will be dependent on the location and specification of your installation.
