Originally founded in 1925 by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Thornleigh College in Bolton currently houses over 1500 pupils. When replacement doors were needed for this busy school and sixth form, reliability and resilience were key considerations.
In order to minimise disruption, all work had to be completed within a tight deadline. Functioning in an environment where there was an expectation of high traffic.
Sustained and prolonged use from students and teachers moving between lessons and breaks, suggested a type of door that would perform perfectly, time and time again.
Also, as you would expect, for reasons of safety, the doors had to meet all accreditation for build quality and fire rating. The Firedor Series met all these requirements and Strongdor ensured that the project was delivered on time and in budget for the start of the new term.
