For any retail application, there is usually a balance to be made between the functionality of easy access with the absolute need for security. In the case of this new build store for ASDA, the minimum requirement was for high performance steel doors that had to be delivered on time, to specification and within budget.
Strongdor worked with the architects and contractor to ensure the supply of the doors that more than met the criteria.
In this case, Steeldor offered the configurations that could be used for the main, oversize double emergency exits, and for the personnel door used in the high traffic staff entrance.
Resilience, security and finish were equally important factors for the architects in the selection process, while the contractor was pleased that the doors did not delay the build and were very simple to install.
